It's hard to believe there's only one week left until the Winter Holiday. 
I am very proud of all the achievements the children have made this half term.

Thanks again for logging on to parents' evening and for all your positivity and helpful feedback. It was so lovely to see you all and I hope you enjoyed the meetings as much as I did. 

We have been discussing the period of 'advent' at school. We talked about the approaching Christmas holiday, which groups of people celebrate Christmas and what Christmas means to Christians.

We were amazed to find out that Hollie was born on Christmas Day! Now her name makes a lot of sense.....

We also discussed 'advent calendars' and Barbara showed us this cool advent calendar of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities! We are going to try to find time to do some of the activities at school but thought you might also like to try them out at home. If you click on the picture it will take you to the website where there are loads of great ideas which need very few resources. Enjoy!
