Governors

The governors of Virginia Primary School are passionate and committed to ensuring that the children who attend our school experience excellent learning opportunities.
​They work closely with the leadership team to support and nurture a culture and ethos that embodies the school values and enables all to thrive.
Our governing body are extremely effective in holding senior leaders to account and are focused on improving outcomes for all.
​They are regularly involved in events in school and our children enjoy their visits.

The Governing Body 2023-2024

Committees

The governing body has separate committees that focus on two of the core strategic functions. The committes are:
  • ​Schools Standards and Improvement Committee
  • ​Finance and Resources Committee
  • Pay Committee
​The committees report to the full governing body each meeting and will recommend policies/plans/budgets for approval as appropriate.  Membership of the committees is shown above.

Governors Pecuniary Interests

Governors are required to disclose their pecuniary interests.
This means any other role that they have that may have an impact on their role as a Governor of Virginia Primary School.
