Home learning for Friday afternoon
Maths
We have been thinking about patterns this week. Watch Miss Cooper talking through action patterns.
Can you follow the action patterns below?
Create your own action pattern. You could record it and send it in to Tapestry.
As a challenge you could draw it out and bring it in to school on Monday. Then maybe someone else could try yours!
Sight words
We are going to have a big focus on learning our sight words in the weeks up to Easter.
Please check your child's Reading Record to see which sight words they need to practise each day. Over the weekend, create a game with these sight words to make sure you know them!
Reading
Your child will have a story book to share with you, and a coloured reading book to read to you. Please enjoy reading these books together, and let me know how it went by commenting in the record.

Recap the sounds we've learnt this week using Espresso. Click here or on the picture below. 
Maths
Ask a helper to hide 10 objects...
Make a giant ten frame on the floor. You could use sticks, masking tape or even chalk on the floor. Go on a hunt to find the objects. As you find the objects, put them in your 10 frame. How many have you found so far? How many more do you need to find?

Your amazing 'All About Me' books reminded me of one of our favourites... Watch these fantastic poetry performers reciting 'I Like Myself!'

Stick up numerals 1 - 10 all around the room (or your whole home if you like!)
Now print out (or recreate) these ten frames.
Turn over one card. What number is shown on the 10 frame? How many more counters would you need to make 10?
Go and find that numeral as quickly as you can!

Today, watch 'The Very Quiet Cricket' by Eric Carle (the author of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar!'

Roll your dice (or click here to find a dice online). What number have you landed on? I rolled a 5. This will go in the middle. Now sort your dominoes into dominoes that show 4, dominoes that have fewer than 4 spots, and dominoes that have more than 4 spots. 
You can either print the dominoes below, or ask someone to help you copy them out - like I did!

A day in the life of Zoe the Vet
Here is the non-fiction book we have read together over the last two days.
Have a think about these questions with your grown up.
1) What is Zoe's dog called? 2) What does she do before work? 3) What's the first thing Zoe does when she gets to work? 4) What does Zoe use to examine the dog with the bad heart? 5) Why does the rabbit have to have it's nail clipped? Can you think about some of the similarities and differences between a nurse or doctor and a vet?

Grab a handful of objects. Estimate how many you might have...
Check how many you have. How many does your partner have? 
If your friend has more than you...how many could they have?
If your friend has fewer than you...how many could they have? 
Use the number track to talk about which numbers are greater, and which numbers are smaller.

Sing a rhyme that counts backwards from 10.
Line up your teddies and number cards and act out the song as you go! I can't wait to see your versions...
