Reception Class Blog 2021-2022 |
We’ve been excited to start work on our miniature window garden project this week. We sowed a variety of seeds in a seed tray and then watered them and put them on the window sill. We’ll look after them carefully until they’re ready for repotting. Errol loves gardening. Reception have been thinking about what gardeners do, and what makes a good gardener. Talk / draw / write 1) Talk - tell your grown up everything you know about gardeners 2) Draw - create a piece of artwork that shows everything you know about gardeners 3) Write - write down everything you know about gardeners We can’t wait to plant the boxes with our families in a few week’s time.
Remember to return your availability slip if you haven’t already! Reception have been exploring their local area this week.
We followed the map from school to Arnold Circus, then to Shoreditch Church Gardens and then back to school! We had lots of questions we wanted answers to…. What green spaces are near our school? What are they used for? Who looks after them? Talk / draw / write 1) Talk - tell your grown up all about our trip. Use the map and photos to help you. 2) Draw - create a piece of artwork that shows what we learnt about our local area. 3) Write - write down what you learnt and what you saw in our local area. |
