 Classic FM's Fast and friendly guide to the Romantic Era

Music Activity 1

Watch the video below and answer the following questions:

1. Which composer was considered to be a classic and an early Romantic?

2. Which musical form was the “King” in the Romantic era?

3. Why do you think self expression in music is very important?

4. Which one was the most favoured instrument in the Romantic era?

5. Name two Romantic composers that wrote music for piano.

6. Name two well known Operas from the Romantic period.
