Our Spanish task today is a bit different. The Tower Hamlets Language Service are running a competition. They would like you to create a poster all about a famous festival. Festivals can be lots of different things, it could be your birthday, Eid or Christmas. It could be something else like Bonfire Night. There are lots of festivals that are celebrated in other countries too. In Spain, near Valencia, the last Wednesday of August is when La Tomatina is held. This crazy festival involves an enormous tomato fight in the streets. In Mexico they celebrate their Independence Day in September with big parties in the night. There are lots of festivals celebrated around the world. Your task is to design a poster to promote a festival or celebration using Spanish words and phrases. You can choose any festival you want, it might be one you know lots about or you might choose to research a new one. You might want to use this Spanish dictionary to help you with your vocabulary. www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english-spanish Whatever event you choose, your poster should be colourful. You could use paper or card (ideally A4 or larger) or if you prefer you could create a Word, Publisher or other software application. When you have finished, your adults should take a photo of your poster and send it as an attachment to michelle.o’[email protected] by the last day of term: 17th July 2020. Winners and runners-up will be notified in September and awarded Amazon vouchers! Comments are closed.
