Viking Week in Year 5!

During Viking Week we fulfilled the roles of:

• news reporter
• prop makers,
• fashionista,
• long boat maker
• drama actor
• and of course us, the BLOGSTERS!

Coming up:

• Drama at the stables
• The low down on longboats
• A report on the Vikings from the Deadly Dragon
• It's Fashion Week on fashion live and the theme is Viking chic!
• Prop-makers are a great success

It was a very tough week and challenge for us all! But with hard work it’s paid off!

Blogsters

Yep, it’s us - the BLOGSTERS at work!

It was quite hard, getting around the whole classroom getting images of good moments of working and hardship, but it was really fun!

Viking Chic

On table 3, the fashionistas were hard at work on their new Viking designs and embroidery accessories. Their main idea was to gather Viking fashion and to put it on a model. It came out very beautiful and they worked very hard. WELL DONE TO THE FASHIONISTAS!!!
Here are the Fashionistas in their natural habitat of sewing and embroidery, and some of their stylish Viking designs! Wow! 

Longboat Builders

In the Viking times, to get across seas and oceans Vikings would build narrow longboats which were made mostly out of wood or oak. They would travel miles and miles with the current of the wind and sails. Long boats are now coming our way with their newly structured handmade models. We managed to get a mini interview from one of the people of the long boat builders

Prop Makers

The Prop Making team worked hard to create Viking props for the other workshops - Good job team!

Viking Drama on Channel 5

Channel 5 was showing the Viking Drama. The drama team were continuously running through their lines with excitement. As they acted their heart out, and learned their lines, they were the best they could have been. Here are some images of them working very hard and learning lines.  

Deadly Dragon News
