In addition to all the amazing work I shared yesterday, I have had some more lovely work shared with me this morning. So here are some more poems.
The Leopard by Sabine
The leopard is a patterned blanket
The leopard’s claws are daggers
The leopard is a racing car
The leopard’s teeth are shards of glass
The leopard is a gazelle hunter
The Elephant by Sam
The elephant is a giant brick wall.
The elephant is a patch of grey.
The elephant is a giant crushing machine.
The elephant is a giant boom of thunder.
Alfred has clearly been working hard this week and sent me all these poems this morning.
Penguin is a tuna in the water
On the ice he's a snail.
He is a smart waiter
And in the bitter Antarctic darkness
He joins a Roman tortoise.
His nose is an anaconda
His legs trunks of redwood
His skin waves of a blizzard
His ears belong to the BFG
Cat is a silent ghost
Approaching as a shadow
His tail is a whip in the wind
He's a panther about to pounce
Snoozing, he's a bear in hibernation
Well done for all your hard work on your poetry this week. We will have to see how we can publish them when we are back at school!
