We're at the final week of Year 4! What a strange year it has been. We have both been so proud of all you have done and achieved this year and are especially proud of how well you have adapted to these strange circumstances.
Last week, many of you were able to come into school to say goodbye to Year 4 and to meet Theo in preparation for your move into Year 5. As it's the final week of school, lots of our activities this week will be thinking about transition. We will be reflecting on the year we've had and thinking forwards to next year.
Mood Check Monday
As we've already said, we're so proud of you all but now it's time to think of something that you are proud of from your time in Year 4. It could be that you learnt something new, you over came a fear or you achieved a goal you had set yourself.
What is something you are proud of this year?
We're going to start the week with our final maths challenge of the year!
You have a set of the digits from 0 - 9.
Can you arrange these digits in the five boxes below to make two-digit numbers as close to the targets as possible? You may use each digit once only. For example, if you have used 5 in one box you can't use it in any others.
Try starting with different ones first. For example, if you do the largest even number first do you get the same numbers as if you do the largest multiple of 5?
English - Reading
We haven't finished reading The Ickabog but we aren't going to do any more work around it but feel free to continue reading the story. You can find all the chapters here: https://www.theickabog.com/read-the-story/
Final Week Project
This week we are going to do a little project about countries around the world. Each day we are going to research a different aspect of a country.
Below is a list of countries you can choose from.
Today, your task is to find out facts about the country. See if you can research the answers to the following questions.
Keep on working hard, the end is almost in sight!
