Hello Year 3! I hope you had a well deserved break! I am missing you all - I am excited to get back to helping you learn from home.
If you have any pictures of anything you got up to over easter or if you had a go at any of the tasks then please email them to email@example.com.
Make sure you put my name in the subject and Joan will forward the email onto me!
I will now be updating my blog everyday so keep checking back for new activities! The first thing that I want you to have a think about today is what is your growth mindset motto? This is a challenging time for everyone and more than ever we need to be using our growth mindset to carry on our amazing learning despite everything that is going on! My motto is ' Be positive! Don't give up!' What is yours? You can share with me on the purple mash blog!
Listen to the first 15 minutes of this and tomorrow I will post some questions to answer! ( You can listen to more of it if you have the time)
Today I just would like you to have a go at these grammar questions- remind yourself of what the different terms mean. Noureddine instead of this can you practice your letter formation when writing some simple sentences about yourself.
This week we will be revising our place value knowledge! Remember the place value headings H T O. Below shows all the different ways that you can represent a number. Standard form, expanded form, word form and what the number is in dienes.
Remember these are the amounts that the different dienes represent.
Show these numbers in the four forms above (choose the challenge level you want or do them all):
Your Well Being
It is so important that you are thinking about and sharing how you are feeling - remember it isn't good for you to bottle up your feelings! Draw yourself and then think about these sentences :
I feel happy because I am spending lots of time with my family.
I feel frustrated because I can't go to school.
I feel excited to learn a new skill.
What are you thankful for? Spending time with family, being safe at home, the sunny weather we have had,
What can't you wait to do? See your friends? Go to the cinema? Get back to learning in the classroom? Seeing family that you don't live with?
Don't forget to do some exercise! Joe wicks? Yoga? dancing? Whatever it is - try and make the time for it!
