A huge WELL DONE to all of you Year 1!! You have been working so hard this half term and have shown real resilience in adapting to the changes so quickly. We are so proud of you all!
Next week is half term, so we will be signing off for now. We will start back again on 1st June.
Ismail - you have made an excellent fact file about Eid and Ramadan, well done!

Have a lovely halfterm year 1 :-)
Siyana - Well done for all your hard work. You have written a very clear list of what was on the Monkey Menu. You have also written great instructions of how to make a mask, using time adverbials. Your animal mask is fantastic!
Maryam - your instructions are very clear and you have used bossy verbs like 'draw' 'put' and 'cut'. Try and use numbers to make them even clearer.
Your handwriting is becoming more consistent, well done!
Danyal - I can see you have been doing lots of maths problem solving. You are correct the blue strip is 3cm longer and the elephant is 5cm shorter.
Look at the car and the plane again, what did Whitney use to measure them with? What do you notice?
Your instructions are very clear, fantastic work!
Zaid - excellent comprehension work, you have shown a really good understanding of the text!
Reminder... Book Swap will take place again this Friday from 1-3pm. Please come along and swap your books, it would be lovely to see you!

I want you to think back to when you made your animal masks, today we are going to write instructions on how to make them. Work your way through the slides below.
Ecrin - well done for your excellent writing! I can see you have formed your letters correctly.
Maryam - well done for all of your hard work! I am really impressed! You have shown a good understanding of the text about tigers and I really like all the good deeds you have thought of.

Your instructions were very clear and very detailed, well done!
Yousef - Well done for writing your instructions, I can see that you have used time adverbials and bossy verbs like 'chop' 'scoop' and 'give'. I especially liked your last instruction 'bon appetit' - very original! I like your picture of the monkeys eating all of the fruit too.
I hope you are all well. Something kind I have experienced really...my mum sent me my favourite biscuits in the post, they were yummy! How can you be kind today?
Learning for today...
Today we are going to focus on the ie and i-e sounds. Please complete these activities on Espresso.
Watch 'Writing a Menu for Monkeys' again.
Today I would like you to write instructions for how to prepare the fruit.
