A quick message from liveable streets Bethnal Green
Dear Virginia pupils,
We need your help!! In conjunction with Liveable Streets Bethnal Green, we would like you to make a short video to say what you are looking forward to when changes are made in the area.
This could be centred around one of the following themes:
**Your videos will be uploaded to the Liveable Streets website
Your videos must be no longer than 30 seconds.
Please send all videos to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 27th May
I really enjoy seeing your work- remember to send it in to us on email@example.com or you can upload onto purple mash!
Here is some great work from yesterday:
Thank you Noa for your hard work!
Thanks for your work Kalid! I really enjoyed your response to Athens vs Sparta!
Well done Aman! You have sequenced the main events of the story and I can clearly see how you have solved your maths problem!
So, what did you think of the story 'The Horse of Troy?'
Did you think it was fair to start a ten year war? Was it a good idea to send in a horse full of soldiers? Is Helen innocent in all this? What are your thoughts? I would love to know!
I want us to think about what it would be like inside the wooden horse? Imagine being a Spartan soldier hiding with your fellow comrades. Do you think the plan will work? What is it like inside? What questions do you have? How are you feeling at this point?
Write a diary entry about being inside the horse and how you are feeling.
Here is one for you to read.
Don't forget to send in your diary entries! I look forward to reading them!
You have been doing so well with your maths! I want to mention Syedi, who used mental strategies when solving the problems yesterday over the phone! Keep it up!
Today's problem is all about perimeter! Can you remember what perimeter means?
Here are two problems we need to solve. They are all about perimeter:
This next problem is from the NRICH website. I will try and help you to solve this! I have started like this:
I have found a way to work out one side of the small rectangle. Can I use that to help me work out the other lengths? You can discuss this on purple mash! Good Luck!
Here are some of the headings you could use:
Weather and climate
Myths and legends
Athens vs Sparta
How are we getting on with our kindness this week? Here is another kindness story to share with you:
Thanks for your story Shay! Do you have a kindness story you can share with us?
