Also, take a look at the assembly blog created by Barbara and Amanda. You can find it on our website and on purple mash! I hope you had a great weekend? What did you get up to? Send us in some pictures of any interesting things you get up to this week! It would be great to see! I would like to begin by saying thank you for all your work! I have lots to share with you! Take a look at the work sent in by: Adam M, Zhraa, Kalid, Aqilah and Sara...
Keep it up! I look forward to seeing what you send this this week!
Let's start with some literacy! For our last week of term we are going to read and watch the great Greek legend called 'The Horse of Troy'. Have you heard of this story?
Read the beginning of the story. It has been narrated by a soldier.
Answer these questions about the opening:
1. What is the name of the location the solider is from? 2. What kind of place is it? 3. What kind of king was Menalaus? 4. How did Helen influence Menalaus? Let's watch the opening to this story: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/history-ks2-ancient-greece-the-trojan-war-troy-episode-1/zm477nb Makes notes on the key events: Who are the main characters? What happens to them in this scene? Make predictions about what might happen next...
Let's begin some maths! It's great to see more of you trying the problems in maths. Remember you can discuss any work on purple mash and solve the problems with your friends!
Here is a great one for you to try from the White Rose Maths website.
Let's find out about Ancient Greek life! The video below about explains how the Greeks have influenced our life today.
This is Captain Tom Moore. He is an army veteran who walked 100 laps of his garden to raise money for the NHS. On 100th birthday he raised £32million. His kindness swept the nation and he received 125,000 birthday cards on his 100th birthday!
What is your kindness story? Send it in to us with a photo or drawing! Let's spread the kindness! I will share our staff stories too!
