Good morning Year 6!
How was your weekend? Did you get out for a walk in the sunshine? I have been practising balancing on my gym ball. I am getting better at it and am now able to sit on it without falling off! What fun things have you been up to? Let us know on purple mash!
The more unique the better!
So let's crack on with the learning for this week. Thank you for all your work that you have been sending in. It is great to see you carrying on with your work and having a go at the the different challenges.
Are you enjoying Thespina and the Scorpidon? I wonder what will happen now she has a cape of invisibility? Let's read on and find out. Send in your answers to me using evidence in the text.
I can't wait to see your answers!
Let's get on with some maths. Did you create a chart of how many minutes of exercise you did everyday? Here is my chart...
Can you create a line graph of your weekly exercise chart. If you didn't get a chance to start a chart then you can begin with my chart.
*Include a title for you graph
* Include titles for the two axis
*Place the days of the week on the x axis
*Your scale could go up in 5's
*Send in your graphs!
From speaking to you on the phone, I know that some of you are missing the maths challenges. So here is one for you to try. It is from the maths mastery twitter page if you want to try more! Use the calculation in the middle to help you solve the other calculations. How many can you solve? Send in your answers! We can discuss this on purple mash!
Let's move onto some Science work. We are going to learn about heart and circulation. Watch the video below.
Answer the following questions and complete the experiment- get your family to take part too!
Finally a during these challenging times, it is important to support people who are working hard in the hospitals. A senior nurse at the Royal London Hospital has said that receiving cards, letters, poems and pictures have had a positive impact on everyones wellbeing there. Let's send some lovely words of encouragement to the hardworking staff at Royal London. However you feel creative, send in your work to us and we will forward them over to the people working in at Royal London.
Enjoy your day!
