Good morning Year 6
How did your first day of learning go? I hope you were able to get into it easily! Thank you for all your messages on purple mash for Saifeldin and Quinell. I will upload the final messages today. I thought it would be great for you to create a 'Who am I?' fact file so our new friends can get to know us! You can create it on purple mash or create one on paper. Don'y forget to send it in!
You could write:
Your name, your friends, your hobbies, your favourite lesson, what you are most scared of and what you love the most and any other fun facts about you!
Let's crack on with the learning for today? What did you think about the opening to 'Thespina and the Scorpidon'? Shall we read some more? Read on and complete the next set of questions.
How did you find the maths yesterday? What do you think B was worth? I got the answer 2 - did anyone else get a different answer? Were there any other options?
Today we are going to begin with line graphs. We will spend the rest of the week looking and creating line graphs. Watch the video below to help us get started.
Have a go at completing the line graph below. Remember to use a ruler and use the squares in your books to help you. Think about how the squares can be used to create an equal scale. Send in your completed graphs.
As we are thinking about keeping healthy, I thought you could keep a track of how many minutes of exercise you are doing each day. We can plot this on a line graph at the end of the week keep a table and record the amount of minutes each day until Sunday.
Speaking of Keeping Healthy, did you manage to create a poster about the food groups? I would love to see them! What are the key ways in which we can keep healthy? Create a keeping healthy leaflet on purple mash or on paper. Think about food, diet, exercise and mental health. Remember to be persuasive!
I look forward to seeing your great work and positive messages on purple mash!
Salma and Clare :)
