Firstly.. let's take a look at the great learning you have completed. Well done to Syedi who solved the maths problems over the phone! He was able to use the right operations to solve the problems using super number facts!
Thank you to Zach for his great maths work below! I like how you have organised your learning and presented it back. Keep it up Zach! Thank you for all your work Kalid. I like how you have tried with the Spanish. Take a look at his great learning!
I'm going to start with the maths today!
Take a look at the two problems below from the Maths Mastery twitter page: This first problem has many answers!
Remember the term integer means whole number, not a fraction or decimal. Which number would be a good place to start? The three digit number will come after doubling it 4 times. Let's try one together: I am thinking of the number 30 I need to double it 4 times 60....120....240....480 This cannot be the number as it reached 3 digits too early. Does this mean my number needs to be smaller than 30 or bigger than 30? Good Luck! This a great one for you to use your number facts to help you. Read the question carefully and solve the problem one step at a time. We can discuss this on purple mash together! Double... Double... Toil and trouble.... Do you remember which famous play this quote is from?
That's right... MACBETH! BEWARE MACBETH! Let's see how much you can remember from the play, answer the following questions: *How many witches were in the play? *What is the name of the King at the beginning of the play? *What three names do the witches call Macbeth when he first see's them? *How does Lady Macbeth find out about the witches? *What is the name of Macbeths best friend and companion? *What does Macduff discover? *Who is Fleance? How many were you able to answer? Do you need a reminder? For a special treat today, I thought we could spend some time watching a great performance of Macbeth performed at the Shakespeares Globe theatre in London! It has been adapted for younger audiences but I think you will love watching this on stage! Enjoy! Write a review about it after you have watched it! Let us know what you think of the performance!
