Hi Year 5,
If you are self-isolating this week then you will still need to be working hard at home and showing a growth mindset with your learning. I will be posting each week with a list of tasks and lessons for you. Please follow the lessons and make your way through the timetable over the week. Please complete a maths, literacy and topic lesson each day. Give yourself plenty of breaks and time to rest in between. Share your work with me on Purple Mash or ask your parents to email it to email@example.com
Start each maths lesson with some of our CLIC starters. Create a fact family for any simple number fact. Use that fact to create a list of 10 PIM facts. Finally create a 5 digit number and use jigsaw to find a number bond.
Please follow this link below and complete lessons 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. One for each day.
Please follow this link below and complete lessons 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. One for each day.
Please follow the link below and complete lessons 1, 2, 3, 4. Over the week.
Please follow the link below and complete this lesson.
Reading: Choose a book from serial mash on Purple mash and complete the questions that go with each chapter. Read a chapter each day. Use the link below:
Please write a book review for your last library book.
Spellings: This week we are learning plurals. This is when we change the end of a word to show there is more than one of it. Our spellings this week are posted to our blog on Purple Mash. Please check them out. Practice them every day and ask an adult or older sibling to test you on Friday. Good luck!
P.E: Make sure you get up from your seat and exercise daily. Try to go for a walk or jog in your local area with a family member. Here is a link to follow at home if you can't get out.
I hope you have a great week of learning. Please send examples of your work to me with the school email and ask any questions on our Purple Mash blog. I really hope to see you back in class again very soon :)
