Welcome to July! The final month of the school year. It has been a strange year at school but we are so impressed with how you have coped and adapted to the new circumstances we have all found ourselves in.
We only have two and half weeks left of school, so lets keep persevering with our work and reflecting on what we have learnt and achieved this year. Important News
Today, you will receive an invitation to come into school on Monday afternoon (6th July) to meet your Year 5 teacher and for us to wish you a happy summer holiday. We are still finalising the times but it will be in the afternoon. Keep your eyes peeled for the newsletter where you will get lots more information.
Monday afternoons are when we normally have our book swap. We won't be handing out any new books next week but please bring along any book swap books you might have at home as we will have the returns box out for you to put them in. English - Writing
After your work on Monday and Tuesday, you should have a good idea of what is going to happen in your story.
Pick two parts where you think your story will benefit from including some dialogue. Which two characters are going to speak in each part. Create the dialogue between those characters. Remember, it is really important to punctuate dialogue correctly. Watch this video again to remind you of the rules. English - Reading
