We're over half way through the week!
We've been so impressed with all the work you've emailed in or posted on Purple Mash. There were some great questions about the film as well as some really thoughtful diary entries.
I read this article yesterday and thought I would share it with you. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-52376090 It's all about the scientists who are trying to find Shackleton's ship Endurance that sank in 1915. Those of you who were in school for the final week will know all about the impressive journey Shackleton and his crew took. If you give it a read, you might need to use a dictionary or ask an adult about some of the words.
English - Writing
Today, your task is to design your own robot!
Draw a diagram of it and label the different parts. Before you draw it, you might want to think about these questions.
When you've finished your design, why not share it with us?
English - Reading
Continue with the class story and read Chapter 4 before answering these questions.
How confident are you feeling about all the new names for triangles we learnt yesterday? Some of the words are quite tricky to say and spell so you can practise both of these things over the next few days.
Today's task is to use your knowledge of the properties of triangles from yesterday to work out what the name is of each triangle below. There is also a task on Purple Mash where you can describe each type of triangle.
This term we will be learning about the history of coding.
The first coding was done long before computers as we now know them existed.
Today’s task is to go on Purple Mash and try the 2do coding task there. It is different to the programmes we have used in class so you will need to be patient and willing to have a growth mindset while you’re doing it.
You're all coping so well with this strange situation and we are really proud of all the work you are doing.
Keep working hard, being helpful and washing your hands.
