Don't forget, the book swap is today from 10am - midday.
Come to school, return your books from last week (if you got some) and pick up a new set. If you didn't make it last week, don't worry you can still come along this week.
We know lots of you have finished the books you've got at home so this is a good chance for you to get some new books.
Here is your Thinking Thursday task:
English - Writing
And it’s finally the moment you have been waiting for all week, the day to watch the film!
Today, your task is to watch the film.
Once you have watched it, go back to the questions and predictions you have made this week.
Review what you predicted, was it correct?
Answer your questions, are you able to answer all of them? Are there some that the film hasn’t answered?
Share your responses with everyone else on the Purple Mash blog.
English - Reading
Read Chapter 4 of Pirate Family Smith and answer the questions on Purple Mash then answer the grammar questions below.
Add the suffix -ation to the verbs in brackets to complete the sentence below.
Tick why the apostrophe is being used in each sentence.
We have done lots of dividing by 10 at school but it is a really important skill to develop and we need to be able to do it correctly each time. It is also really important that we use the correct language when we are talking about dividing by 10. Watch the video below to remind you how we divide by 10.
REMEMBER: Each digit gets 10 times smaller and moves one place to the right.
Question 2 (You will need to draw a place value chart for this question.)
CHALLENGE Question 5
Hopefully you're feeling more confident with the coding programmes on Purple Mash. It's been great to see so many of you giving it a go and showing a growth mindset.
This week's task builds on what you have already done on Purple Mash. Check out your 2dos and give the Snail Race task a go.
Stay safe, keep washing your hands for 20 seconds and find time to relax in between all your hard work.
