Morning everyone!

Picture

Book Swap TOMORROW 2pm - 3pm . Please come- we love to see you all :)
Check out the newsletter on the school website- Barbara has created a video newsletter this week.

Picture
Lets start the day by being positive. Begin by thinking about what makes you special. After that you should go and ask the people you live with to think about why they think you are special. You might want to give them some thinking time!!

Special mentions!

Samirah sent in her fantastic still life drawing in with..a lovely message :) so nice to hear from you.

Hello Alice! It is Samirah and I wanted to show you  my sketch. It is a still art picture. If you didn’t know what still art it is a picture with no living things in it! Hope you like it and I miss school!

Adam

Adam thank you for sending in your learning and your pictures of you on the beach! It looks like you are having a great time and
I have included your message about what you got up to on the beach:

Finally, because it was so hot, we headed to the beach. Adam was very brave and went swimming, paddle boarding in the sea. There were loads of jellyfish and his was brother Uzman was stung but he was ok in the end. To carry on with looking at biodiversity, when the tide went out we looked in all the little rock pools. There were thousands of sea snail, live clams, oysters and barnacles. We managed to catch a little jellyfish and a few crabs!

You saw so much wildlife and I'm glad Uzman was ok after being stung!!

Reading

Read the extract twice before answering the question.

Have you ever moved into a new house or flat? If you have how did you feel?

1 Who is the main character?

2 How does he feel about the new house? How do you know?

3 What does the word tousled mean? Find it in the text , work out what it means and then explain it in the context of the sentence.

4 What about this extract makes you want to read the rest of the story? Why?

5 What was Murph's problem with the house?

6 Predict what you think will happen next.

Read the rest of the extract - you can download it by clicking on this link below.

Now onto the literacy task!
Picture
Yesterday we revised what a diary entry is and we wrote about our day. How did you get on with that? Please send them in to the admin address- I would love to read them.

If you didn't do the learning yesterday go back and do that before you do this today.
Picture
Today we will plan a diary entry written by Prince Ivan. His diary will tell us about the beginning of the story up until he makes a decision about which path to take.

RE- Budhism

Picture
Buddhism started in India over 2,500 years ago. Buddhists follow the teachings of a man called Siddhattha Gotama. He became known as the Buddha, which means 'enlightened'.

Read the link below and watch the video to learn about Budhism:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zh4mrj6/articles/zdbvjhv

Make a fact page about Budhism- using what you have learnt. Use different colours and do some drawings to go with the facts.
