Morning Year 3! I hope you had a glorious weekend! This week is 'Mental Health Awareness Week'. We have talked about how you need to take care of your mind as much as you take care of your body! Taking care of your mind at the moment is particularly important with everything that is going on. I was missing my family a lot this weekend and so we did a lovely zoom-I hope you are staying in contact with your family too.I have days where I feel a bit sad and other days where I feel much happier- I'm sure you feel the same. That is completely normal but its important to recognise that talking about your feelings can help.
We will be doing a little starter each day that allows you to reflect on something around mental health be it your mood, what can help cheer you up and many other things.
Thank you to the children who sent their learning in and some of the lovely learning on purple mash!
Brodi- thank you for your story on purple mash- I like how you used fairytale sentence starters like once upon a time and happily ever after! It was a great adventure. Well done :) keep writing Brodi.
Thank you to Farhan - well done for using the brain method in your maths learning. Well done for showing how a cactus stays alive- can you add more detail about how the cactus gets water? Rewatch the video see what more you can add!
Ibrahim I am so impressed with your learning. I can see that you are looking at the blog and getting all of the tasks done. Well done for using the brain method in maths- and you are showing how confident you are at working out jigsaw numbers. It is great to see that you are getting outside and exercising! Keep up the fantastic learning Ibrahim. Your efforts are making me very proud!!
Archie and Cara I have finally sorted out how to upload your video. I am so sorry it has taken me this long! Archie and Cara had a great time doing the scavenger hunt that Rihannon set a while ago on the year 3 blog. I am glad you enjoyed it so much! You can look back at old blog posts to find theb scavenger hunt (it was on a Friday) and also to look back at old learning.

Geography- Why is recycling important?
Watch the video above- recycling things that we have used is really important. Once you have watched the video login onto espresso and search for recycling rubbish. Use the imformation from the video and from the text you read for the reading task- you may want to reread it.
Once you have done this have a go at creating a recycling poster that persuades people that they should recycle to help the planet- this activity is in the 2do section. I am excited to see your posters.
