We made it another whole week in lockdown! I need to start by sharing some of the amazing learning that has been emailed to me ! I love receiving your learning so I can see how you are getting on and give you any support that you need! Thank you to Sarah B who has sent in a variety of learning. Well done Sarah B- you found all of the definitions for the new vocabulary, your maths learning is set out really clearly and your hieroglyphics are fantastic!
I was really impressed with Noureddine's growth mindset- he came back to some learning and got it finished. Fantastic presentations as well! It is also nice to hear how you are feeling , what you are grateful for and for what you can't wait to do! Thank you so much for sharing!
Yaqub sent in his learning ! Your drawing of the opening scene of our new books is fantastic I especially like how you have shown the bad weather- there is so much atmosphere in your picture. Yaqqub has also sent me his maths and geography learning. Thank you for sending such a range in Yaqub it is so nice to see how you are getting on!
So onto today's learning!

Pleas share your findings by email or on the purple mash blog!
Maths - Lets start with some CLIC revision.
Below is some place value reasoning to have a go at. Read the question twice through before you answer it and think about what it is asking you to do.
Circle the odd one out.
100, 150, 200, 215, 300
Explain how you know.
Which is quicker: counting to 50 in 10s
or counting to 150 in 50s?
Explain your answer.
Sort these statements into always,
sometimes or never.
• When counting in 50s, the numbers
• There are only two digits in a
multiple of 50
• Only the hundreds and tens column
changes when counting in 50s.
Happy Friday, everybody! It’s Rhiannon here :)
I hope you are all doing well. I’m sure Alice has been keeping you busy with lots of learning and fun activities to do. I’ve come up with another fun task for you – it’s a scavenger hunt!
Of course, it’s really important for us to stay indoors as much as possible so during this scavenger hunt all of the things you need to find will be inside you house.
The first person to gather all of these items will be crowned the winner! You can take a picture and upload it to the Virginia Twitter page OR send an email of your picture to the admin email OR you could comment on the purple mash blog by listing what you found. This requires a little bit of imagination so get ready!
