Maths - Rounding
Lets practice our rounding skills today as I know this is something we struggled with during the year. Remember 5/ 50 upwards and you round up - anything less and you round down.
Enjoy this rounding game:

Worry Jar
Sometimes we can worry about things - some of you may worry a little and some and you may worry a lot. We are all different and that's fine- writing these worries down can make you feel better. Draw out your jar in your book and write down things that may have been worrying you.
They might be about corona virus and they also might be about any other worries they have. It might also help to speak about your worries with your parents/ carers/ siblings or friends,

Morning everyone!
I hope you are all ok. I will be sharing the learning you have been sending me in tomorrow's blog. I hope you are having a good week!! Please check out Barbara's Newsletter- it has information about the end of term and cromebook collection. The link is on the top of the school's website- Barbara has even recorded a video!
Literacy
Thank you to Samirah for sending in her fantastic Story- it was lovely to read it!!
Today we are going to look back at our stories- we will proof read them and edit them. We will begin by editing.
Read your learning through once. Find a tickle pink and a a green for growth e.g
My tickle pink is that I have used exciting adjectives to create a picture in the readers mind.
OR
I have used the correct punctuation throughout my story.
Then you need to think of a green for growth.
My green for growth is that I need to use a greater variety of sentence starters.
or
I need to describe the fight scene more clearly.
Your next job is to make some changes based on your green for growth - remember editing is not starting again. It is keeping the parts you are happy with and improving other parts- good luck!
Now you have edited - you can proof read your learning.
Proof reading is checking that :
-your sentences make sense
- You have used capitals at the beginning of your sentences for proper nouns
- You have used full stops
- You have used commas within sentences when you naturally need to take a breath.
