Another fantastic week!! You have made me so proud with how you are settling in, and with the way you have taken on so many challenges. We have been continuing to explore place value and the children have been enjoying reading 'Stone Girl Bone Girl'. Parents/ carers - it has been lovely to begin to get to know you all and thank you so much for your patience with the new way that we dismiss-it is helping to keep us all safe! With the new restrictions you might feel that you aren't able to communicate as easily with the year 3 team (Alice,Zara and Clare), please be assured that you can come to us with any question or concern, however big or smal You can speak to us at the school gate or ask me to give you a call. Alternatively you can book in an appointment. Reading books will be going out today. Homework - The Stone AgeThis week we have learnt about different sentences . For homework we will be focusing on questions. Remember that we begin the sentence with a capital letter and we end the sentence with a question mark (?). We also use question starters (who, where, what, how, why, when) For example : How did Mary Anning survive being struck by lightning ? This week for homework I would like to create 3 questions that you would ask a Stone Age person. You can ask them anything about their life - think about what we have learnt about them so far. An example might be How do you make weapons? I would also like you to find 1 really interesting fact about the Stone Age. If you want to ‘stand’ for election you will need to talk to your class/school to tell them your reasons and persuade them to vote for you!
For homework everyone in KS2 will write a speech.
