Good morning children. I hope you are enjoying the lovely sunshine. Can you believe it is the last week of term? What a strange year we have had. How did you get on with your home learning? Thank you Mohammed for sharing your home learning. You can confidently add two digit number using partitioning and number line. Fantastic effort on writing different sentence types with correct punctuation marks. You have used apostrophe for possession and joining your handwriting neatly. Superb job Mohammed! LiteracyToday we will do a recount of one of our trips that we have had in Year 2, The Horniman Museum Trip. Here are some pictures. We went to the trip on Friday 4th October to learn about different musical instruments from round the world. We took the train. We looked at the singing bowl, the talking drum and thumb piano (mbira) MathsToday we are going to subtract 2 digit numbers but it will be slightly challenging because we will sue a new strategy that we worked on class. Look at the number sentences below. Can you work them out? Which one makes you a little confused? Can you use the same method to work out both of them? Do you think the answer is the same or different? 35 - 12 32 - 15 Strategy for 35 - 12 Strategy for 32 -15 Challenge 1
