Have a look at Aaliyah and her brother Elkhan’s  beautiful gratitude jars. I love the fact that you mentioned you are thankful  all the doctors and nurses, they are doing a great job indeed. What a beautiful thought Aaliyah!

Assalamualaikum Y2, hope you are all keeping up the good spirit and making the most of your time. It is important to stay positive and look after ourselves and others. We need to be grateful for our family and friends that we have around us. We can show our appreciation with an act of kindness or with a simple smile. Next two weeks will be Easter holiday. For those who are celebrating, I hope you have an amazing time. I will try to add things on our class blogs but you may not see it everyday. But if you would like to get in touch please use the blog on Purplemash and leave a message and I will get back to you. To post a comment on the blog you need to do the following:
Log in using your details and click on the sharing icon as shown below. Then click on shared blogs. Find the blog named ‘What are you doing today’ or ‘My feelings’.

Reading
Today I want you watch the story 'My Gratitude Jar’, don’t worry if you don’t know the meaning of the word 'gratitude'. You will soon find out after watching the video.

Do you know what the word means now? We need to be thankful for all the good things that happen to us. When you have a bad day think about the positive things that have happened. In the coming weeks, I want you to have a gratitude jar of your own. Everyday you can write down the things that you are thankful for on a little piece of paper and read them when you feel like you are having a bad day. You can ask your family members to make a gratitude jar of their own too.
I am thankful for having the most amazing class and seeing you grow into a kind, loving and caring human being. I am also thankful for my caring family and my colleagues in Virginia Primary school who are all so supportive.

Maths
Look at the pictogram below. What do you think this is showing? Have a look carefully and then try to answer the questions.

How many cars did Shay see in a week?

Which transport vehicle was seen the least?

How many  more cars did Shay see than airplanes?

How many buses and ambulances did Shay see altogether?

Shay saw 3 times more ambulances than airplanes. Is he correct?

What is the difference between the number of cars and bicycles Shay saw in a week?

Which two vehicles has the difference of 7?

Which two vehicles will add up to exactly 15?

Shay says 'If I saw one more car that would be exactly 4 x the number of airplanes'. Is he correct?
Shay says 'If I take away the number of ambulances from the number of cars I will find the number of bicycle', True or false? What would make this statement true?

RE

In RE our key question is - Who is prophet Muhammed and why is he important to Muslims?
Now I want you to think about the word 'leader'. What qualities do you need to be good leader?
Make  a mind map of list of qualities that leader must have.
Picture
Now do you know how many people in the world follow prophet Muhammed as their leader? More than a billion that's a lot of people from lot of countries. What do you think made Muhammed such a great leader for Muslims worldwide? I want you to find a story about the life of prophet Muahammed and write it in your book. In class, we did a story about the prophet and the cat. Can you retell that story to your family?
