Watch the story of Halibut Jackson on Espresso. I have emailed you the log in details. https://central.espresso.co.uk/espresso/primary_uk/subject/module/video/item1102958/grade1/module1217337/index.html After you have watched it, click on 'Activities' (top left hand side of the page) and complete the comprehension and sequencing activities.
Maths:
We are going to continue to explore which numbers can be shared equally and which cannot. Work your way through this lesson on Oak Academy - classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-share-a-total-equally-and-find-the-number-of-groups-part-1-65hkad Use items around your home to help you, for example dried pieces of pasta/fruit/toys/buttons can make great counters! You do not have to draw everything out. Challenge: Hamid has 20 sweets altogether. He has four friends coming to tea. Is he able to share the sweets between himself and his friends so that they all have the same amount? Show how you have done your calculations.
PSHE:
It is really important that we all look after ourselves at the moment and this included our mental health (our thoughts and feelings), as well as our physical health (our bodies). Emily is our Emotional Literacy Support Assistant, which means she helps children to look after their feelings and manage their behaviour. She has her own blog on our school website and Purple Mash, please be sure to go and take a look. www.virginia.towerhamlets.sch.uk/elsa-blog She has suggested this great activity for you all to do....
Here is Eki reading a book by John Klassen, he actually illustrated 'Extra Yarn' too. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend everyone! Comments are closed.
