Good morning Reception!
Phonics Make sure you have a go at writing each word. Take a picture so your key person can see how you're getting on! Mr Gumpy's Outing Use playdough (or draw pictures if you can't make playdough) to create each of the animals in Mr Gumpy's Outing. Use your phonics skills to label each one!
Maths
Start by ordering your number cards 1-20, then practise counting up to 20 and back down again! Then recap the learning from yesterday by asking, 'what's the next number?' from a few random numbers. We find out by counting on 1! We can then ask, 'What's 1 more than?' take it in turns to ask each other 'what's one more than...(any number under 20!)' Now practise finding 'one more than' in a game! You could label bottles and throw a hoop over a number to find one more than that, or draw numbers on a big piece of paper, then throw a counter. You could even take the activity outside and use chalk on the floor! Can you create your own game?! I can't wait to see how creative you can be!
A further challenge...
When we find 'one more than', we are adding on one! Can you record how you did in your games using a number sentence? For example, 3 + 1 = 4 14 + 1 = 15 Comments are closed.
