Have a go at these challenges this week...remember to email email@example.com with any updates and pictures!
How do your toys work? Do you have to push a button? Does it have batteries? Do you wind them up?
Have a talk with a grown up about the different ways your toys work.
Finally...ask an adult at home about the toys they played with when they were younger. Are they similar to yours? Are they different? What was their favourite toy?
Nursery rhymes are so important for young children. They help them to develop their language, their listening skills, and rhythm and rhyme. They also help them to hear the sounds and syllables in words. Have a go at learning 'Pat-a-cake' at home. You may want to start by just listening and clapping along with the beat - which is a great skill to learn too!
Please let us know how you get on with this nursery rhyme! You can send photos and any updates to firstname.lastname@example.org
You could also let me know your favourite nursery rhymes, and I can share them on our blog for everyone to learn.
Senses Treasure Hunt!
Use your five senses to search your home for...
1. Something smooth
2. Something yellow
3. Something that tastes nice
4. Something that smells
5. Something that makes a loud noise
Once you have found all five, you could take a photo of your 'treasure' and email them to 'email@example.com' with the subject 'for Lucy'.
You could even draw your items into your book.
Challenge! Draw a treasure map of where you found each item in your home.
