The Parents Room and the Welcome Space
The Parents RoomThe parent’s room on the ground floor is available for parents to use at any time in the mornings from 9.00 until 12.30 pm
There is a computer that parents can use and tea and coffee is provided. Workshops and group activities also take place in the parent's room Please see the timetable below for more information. |
The Welcome SpaceThe Welcome Space was opened in 2014 by Paralympic athlete Wendy Smith. It is an extension to an existing building that we also had refurbished to range of school activities.
We use the Welcome Space for our successful Toy Library on Thursday mornings. The Welcome Space is accessed via Virginia Road. Toy LibraryWe have a very successful toy library service running at the school, where all children aged 0 – 5 years are welcome to attend.
Toy Library takes place every Wednesday 9.00 – 11.00 in the Welcome Space (but not through the school holidays or on the last Wednesday of each term) We have two fantastic staff members who run the session – Yumiko and Sabreen, who are there to support the parent/carer and the child. High quality resources and equipment are set out in the Welcome Space which allows the children to develop skills to help with their learning and development. It costs 30p which covers the cost of fruit and also allows toys to be borrowed at the end of the session to take home. It is also a good opportunity for parents/carers to socialise with one other. |
